These terms apply to the Cartavalo iPhone app, published by Cesare D’Adamo. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA) also applies; where these terms say nothing, the EULA does.
What Cartavalo does
Cartavalo recognizes trading cards with your iPhone camera and shows an estimated market value for each card and for your collection.
Values are estimates
Prices come from third-party market data, mainly Cardmarket, and are converted between currencies with public exchange rates. They are estimates for information only, not appraisals or offers to buy or sell. Real sale prices depend on condition, demand and many other factors. Recognition can also be wrong; please check the card shown before relying on a value. We are not liable for decisions made based on values shown in the app.
Free use and Cartavalo Pro
- Free: 5 scans a day and a collection of up to 50 cards. The value of every scanned card is always shown.
- Cartavalo Pro: unlimited scans, an unlimited collection and price history, as a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Subscriptions
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- The yearly subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- If you start a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Fair use
Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app or its card database, or use it to collect data in bulk.
Trademarks
Cartavalo is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures, GAME FREAK, Cardmarket or any card publisher. Card names, images and set names belong to their owners and are used only to identify cards.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the app and its prices available, but cannot guarantee it will always work without interruption. We may update the app and these terms; when the terms change, we update this page and the date above.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
